T-80BVM (БВМ)

The T-80BVM (БВМ) or (Объект/ Object 219RV-M), is a Russian MBT (Main Battle Tank) manufactured by LKP (Leningrad Kirov Plant), the T-80BVM is a late 2010 modified T-80BV which was upgraded by Omsktransmash. The BVM upgrade idea came after launching the new T-90A variant, the T-90M. The T-80BVM upgrades included a replacement of the K-V ERA (Kontakt-5 Explosive Reactive Armor) (K-V ERA featured like with the T-72B3) with the new R-ERA (Relikt), a modified gun to carry newer armaments, new full-electric gun laying motors, new French-based/domestic TVD gun sights, new engine a GTD-1250 from the T-80U as a replacement to older gas turbine engine, 4S24 ERA packages on the sides, etc. The BVM has become a replacement to the T-80BV in Russian army's arsenal and one of the icons of Russian Army in the 2020s.
