Ariete PSO

The Ariete PSO (Peace Support Operation) aka C1 Ariete, developed by OTO Melara for the Italians to deal with Yugoslav and Warsaw pact tanks during the late Cold War, the reason behind the development was to give the Italians a word and to allow them to have a modern MBT (Main Battle Tank).

Ariete PSO stats:

Modified composite armor blocks on the sides, to help decrease the risk of being destroyed by a RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade), HEAT shells, or low level APFSDS (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot)

PTWR (Power-to-weight ratio) 22 hp/t, 1,300 hp (Horse Power), max speed of 65 km/h forwards and 46 km/h reverse.
Equipped with Gen 2 Thermals, NV (Night Vision), Gunner optic zoom up to 12x, and commander up to 10x
Has LRF (Laser Range Finder)
Main gun is a 2PS (Two-Plane Stabilized) 120 mm OTO Breda 120/44 cannon, which is able to fire the German designed DM53 APFSDS (Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot), that has the ability of penetrating over 570 mm of armor on 2km distance
Carries 2 top mounted machine guns the 7.62 mm Beretta MG42/59, having fire rate of 800 shots/min.
Contains also a coaxial 7.62 mm Beretta MG42/59 machine gun.
