In recent years, there has been a growing presence of Sikhs and Indians in Canada, with significant immigration from India, particularly to provinces like British Columbia and Ontario. Canada’s inclusive immigration policies and diverse cultural environment have made it an attractive destination for people seeking better opportunities and a ((welcoming)) community. The Sikh community, in particular, has a long history in Canada, dating back to the early 20th century, and continues to thrive, contributing to Canadian society in areas like business, politics, and culture. Indian immigrants, including both Sikhs and others, have become an integral part of Canada’s multicultural identity, with vibrant cultural events, religious institutions, and a strong sense of community growing in cities like Vancouver and Toronto. This shift reflects broader global migration trends and Canada’s growing role as a destination for skilled workers and families from India.
And Yes, many Canadians embrace the growing Sikh and Indian communities, as Canada is known for its multicultural values and inclusive society. The country has a long tradition of ((welcoming)) immigrants from all over the world, and this diversity is celebrated through festivals, food, and cultural exchanges. While, like any nation, there can be pockets of resistance or prejudice, the majority of Canadians appreciate the rich contributions made by these communities in areas like business, education, arts, and politics.
Canada is famous for its maple syrup, made from the sap of sugar maple trees. Quebec leads production, accounting for most of the world’s supply. The syrup is used in everything from pancakes to candies. Maple-flavored drinks and even maple water, a lightly sweet beverage, have also become popular. Whether as syrup, water, or other products, maple is a key part of Canadian culture and cuisine.
Leopard 2A4M and T-90 Bhishma TWMP
-
The Leopard 2A4M is a Canadian MBT (Main Battle Tank), It was acquired by Canada in the late 2000s as part of the country’s military modernization efforts, specifically to bolster its armored capabilities in Afghanistan. The 2A4M is a modified version of the German Leopard 2A4, designed to meet the specific operational needs of the Canadian Forces. Key features of the Leopard 2A4M include additional composite armor around the turret, an 120mm smoothbore cannon (The German 120 mm Rh120 L/44 cannon), and improved mobility, making it effective in peacekeeping missions. The tank is also equipped with enhanced protection systems, including add-on armor (slat armor) to provide extra defense against threats like IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) and mine protection.
- The T-90 Bhishma TWMP (भीष्म, a character in Indian epic Mahabharata; Объект or Object 188S) is an exported T-90 built in Russia, This T-90 is also license-produced in India by the HVF (Heavy Vehicles Factory). Russia sold to India 310 units of the T-90S in the early 2000s, Russia sold to them as either part kits or a complete assembled unit as India decided to have modernization program to their military. The HVF then produced locally an extra 330 tanks since 2006. The T-90S variant is basically the Russian T-90A aka Объект or Object 188A1 except for some features. The DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization) had a minor addition to the variant, adding a domestically developed mine plough as an alternative to Russian mine ploughs. the Russians later took into a newer MBT in 2005.
The joke
As the nation is welcoming to everything about the maple, maple products, and maple drinks, the nation often forgets to draw locked lines of the "Red River" about 9,984,670 km2 in depth of love, the love of Beaver Hunts and Victoria Cartier Macdonald.
